His Holiness Pope John Paul-II gave an audience to Padma Bhushan Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak before bestowing
the International St. Francis Prize for the Environment (Canticle of all Creatures) in 1992 on him.

In 1991, Dr. Pathak was conferred Padma Bhushan
by the President of India, Mr. R. Venkataraman,
for his “distinguished social service.”

Dr. Pathak with the Dubai International Award for best practice to improve the living environment.
