COVID-19 Relief Centre at Sulabh Campus
In view of the current situation and apprehensions of a forthcoming third wave, Sulabh International has set up COVID Relief Hub in its campus in New Delhi.
The Hub has the facility of oxygen-concentrator stock to cater to the needs of staff and family members should they require oxygen.
Three oxygen concentrators of 10 litre capacity have been procured and stocked in at the Sulabh dispensary located near the main campus.These oxygen concentrators operate at 700W, 220V, 50Hz AC supply and can cater to two patients simultaneously, thus in total 6 persons can be benefitted. Each concentrator weighs around 31Kg and produce minimum noise of 58dB.
Handwashing Day Campaign 2020
On Global Handwashing Day, extensive handwashing drives were organised across the urban and rural areas, to raise awareness and sensitise masses towards hand hygiene. With a goal to embed hand washing in everyday lives and chalk out a behavioural change, our volunteers promoted safe handwashing protocols. From the busiest traffic junctions to the iconic tourist attraction and public spaces, various tools of mass media were adopted to spread the message and inculcate the habit of safe handwashing. In wake of COVID 19 era, handwashing is a crucial shield against the infection.

Sulabh celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day following the necessary guidelines for COVID pandemic
Our Menstrual Hygiene Day campaigns across India focused on educating adolescents about puberty and the physiology of their bodies while they are growing up. This aims to pave a path that lifts the taboo. We have reached out to women and girls in slums to help them break the culture of silence and stigma around periods.
Sulabh Patna office distributed masks to frontline workers
Hundreds of hand-made 3-layer cotton washable and reusable masks where distributed amongst f Patna Traffic Police, Frontline Hospital Workers and Patna Municipal Corporation employees.
Seen in the photo above masks are being handed over to Dr Nirmal Kr. Sinha, Superintendent of NMCH Patna, the core Corona treatment centre in Bihar. These masks were distributed amongst the patients, attendants, medical and auxiliary staffs.
Similarly, masks were distributed among the traffic police personnel on duty and also among the sanitation workers of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna. (seen in the photo above)
Similarly,Mrs. Shila Irani and Mr. D. P. Tiwary (both Additional Municipal Commissioners), Patna Municipal Corporation received the masks for distribution amongst the sanitation and conservancy workers.
The masks have been designed in accordance with the government of India guidelines. It meets the desired health and safety standards and is comfortable to wear. Currently, 75000 such masks are being made for distribution in Bihar and Delhi.
Sulabh volunteers in frontline to fight COVID19
To combat #COVID19 effectively, Sulabh International Social Service Organization is working alongside with front line health workers in providing dedicated and vital sanitation services at some of the key hospitals dealing with corona virus patients
Apart from sanitation services, Sulabh volunteers are working with hospital authorities round the clock at their quarantine centres and isolation wards. They are ensuring the highest possible level of hygiene and safety standards – keeping the wards and every inch of hospital premises sanitised.
Sulabh administration has taken a slew of measures to prioritise safety and convenience of volunteers. It has ensured that all its volunteers are equipped with personal protective equipment and transit passes. Provisions have been made for free hot meals and transportation.
Sulabh helps government efforts to build front line resistance to corona virus by spreading hand wash campaigns amongst the poorest and needy communities.
Sulabh is committed to the hygienic safety of the front line workers in the present time.
Sulabh joins government efforts to provide free ration to the city’s poorest whose livelihood have been hit hard because of the lockdown measures to contain Covid-19. It has recently handed over 1.76 tonnes of raw ration estimated to support approximately 10,000 people for two weeks.

The ashram has a team of 15, including doctors on-call, a 24-hour ambulance, regular medical check-ups and sessions to make the women aware of the need to frequently wash their hands with soap and wear masks.
Maa Sharda Ashram is maintained by Sulabh International. Vrindavan also has six state-run homes for widows, with about 650 residents, said Santosh Mishra, who is in-charge of these homes.Widows living here get 20 kg of wheat and 15 kg rice every month.
